Budny, ASID, Owner and President of Ron Budny/Interior Design, has been named Cambridge Who's Who Entrepreneur of the Year in Interior Design. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Budny specializes in interior design. He founded Ron Budny/Interior Design, a firm that provides design services for the residential, corporate, retail and hospitality sectors and offers space planning/home office, historic preservation and color consultation services. He has extensive knowledge of the world market and is involved in custom furniture design and color consultation. A published author, Mr. Budny's works have been featured in such publications as the Indianapolis Business Journal, the Litchfield County Times, The Indianapolis Star, the High Point Enterprise, Indianapolis Woman magazine, 1001 Decorating Ideas magazine, Budget Decorating, and various other home furnishing and industry-related publications. He appears as a guest on radio and television shows and lectures nationally.

Prior to establishing his company, Mr. Budny worked as an executive set designer at the Alderman Company and was the vice president and director of residential interiors at Rowland Associates, Inc. He was the recipient of the Best Regional Design Award and the Chapter Medalist Award bestowed on him by the American Society of Interior Designers. Mr. Budny was honored with the Humanitarian Award and the Spirit of Philanthropy Award by Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He considers granting a scholarship to an interior design student from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis to be one of the highlights of his career.

Mr. Budny received an Associate of Applied Science in Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1963 and is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers. He served as the president and a national board member of the Carolina's and Indiana Chapters of the American Society of Interior Designers. He is a former board member and international chairholder of the Color Marketing Group. Mr. Budny acts as an advisory board chairman and developed curriculum for the new interior design course at the School of Engineering and Technology of the Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Additionally, he serves on the board of The New York Pops Orchestra, the American Pianist Association, the International Violin Competition of Indianapolis and the Litchfield Historical Society.
