CONROE, TX, October 25, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janie Patteson, Author, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of writing.
Overcoming several paradoxes throughout life, Janie was destined to establish herself as an author. She began her writing career 14 years ago and, to date, has published a poem entitled "A Manic Who Chooses to Win" in the book, "America At the Millennium - The Best Poems and Poets of the 20th Century." The poem was written while she was confined to a psychiatric ward recovering from a self-induced lithium overdose afer a graveyard-shift nurse suggested that Janie try writing in an attempt to cure her inability to sleep. At that moment, Janie believes that God gave her the talent to become an author and a vessel to help others.
Janie is currently in the research and developmental stages of writing a book entitled "Labeled," which will focus on the challenges of functioning in the world for 22 years while being labeled bipolar. She hopes to reach out to individuals afflicted with the disorder as well as those who care for these individuals.
Janie attributes her success to the blessings of God, who bestowed her with the gift of writing and looks forward to completing "Labeled" and moving on to her next project.
Janie welcomes thoughts, ideas and experiences by fax (281) 572-2044.
