Dr. Sandra M. Ketrow Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Dr. Sandra M. Ketrow celebrates 32 years of experience in her field
KINGSTON, RI, December 15, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandra M. Ketrow, Ph.D., Professor at the University of Rhode Island, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in human communication.
Dr. Ketrow has 32 years of experience, including 24 years as a professor for the University of Rhode Island, which contributed to her expertise in group and nonverbal communication behavior. She teaches three classes per semester, and conducts research in family crisis decision-making and communication. She developed her knowledge of communication by working in four related fields: advertising, marketing, publishing, and television.
In 1982, Dr. Ketrow received a Ph.D. in communication theory and research from Indiana University, where she also completed a bachelor's and a master's degree. Her extensive knowledge and research in her field has earned recognition by the Group Communication Division of the National Communication Association. She also gained recognition by earning a fellowship with the American Council of Learned Scholars. Dr. Ketrow volunteers for various charities, including a local domestic violence center and homeless shelter, and the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of South County in Rhode Island. She hopes to complete her book titled, "Families Arguing," which accompanies her current research on family crisis decision-making.
